Workshop – From 10am to 12 noon with morning tea break
Lunch – From 12 to 1pm
AGM – After the afternoon break.
All members welcome (NZHF and AHS) – no charge.

The Auckland Herb Society has been operating in Auckland since 1971. Next year, 2021, we will be celebrating our 50th Birthday! Come join us at our Spring Seminar to hear our two thought provoking speakers, or consider joining one of our groups that meet monthly around Auckland. Understanding more about herbs will help enhance your enjoyment of cooking and food, assist your health and inspire your gardening. Sorry internet … there is nothing quite like meeting and learning as a group from experienced leaders!
Our Spring Seminar Speakers:
Jane is passionate about the powers of parsley and she has recently become a sleep expert armed with the knowledge and wisdom to help us insomniacs get to sleep.
Jane is a writer, editor and grower of flowers and herbs. She writes for the NZ Gardener and the NZ House and Garden magazines. She was editor of the Herb Federation Magazine for many years. She has also published through the NZ Gardener many booklets that are herb related.
Tracey will talk about cooking/kitchen companions, natural flavours and the spices of life.
Tracey is a professional chef, food writer, and food stylist. She has travelled widely gaining valuable cooking experience.

Auckland Societies 50th Anniversary
TO BE CELEBRATED AT ALBERTON HOUSE ON 20 MARCH 2- 5 PM
The occasion will be celebrated in style with a Victorian high tea and herbal teas plus a tour of the historic home and gardens.

Herb Awareness Week
Each year the “International Herb Association” selects a herb to be the International Herb of the Year. The Herb Federation of New Zealand selects a further three herbs, and these, together with the International Herb of the Year, become the subject of study. A data sheet detailing the identification of the herb, information regarding the medicinal and culinary uses for the herb, together with “helpful hints”, is prepared for each. Find out more…
