We are a friendly group of Herb enthusiasts with varying knowledge and expertise in all things herbal. The goal of our society is to promote the use of herbs in everyday life whether it’s culinary or medicinal herbs, herbs in the care of pets or in natural cleaning products in the home.
The Hutt Valley Herb Society is the only herb society in the Wellington/Hutt area and we meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month (Feb-Nov) in the Trentham Railway Station, entrance from the carpark.
Our Herb Society established and maintains the herb spiral at Golder Cottage Museum in Upper Hutt.
Members who attend the monthly meeting can use the library, learn herbal craft, hear speakers on topics of interest, buy herb plants and enjoy a herbal supper. All paid members receive a copy of our monthly newsletter. Subscriptions are $20.
