Scam e-mail warning
28-0CT-2026
Kia ora everyone,
A scammer is sending emails pretending to be one of our committee members and asking people for money.
The emails we know about are coming from the email as per image in this article.
This is not a committee member’s email address, and the messages are not from the Federation. The matter has been reported to New Zealand Police.
If you receive one of these emails, please:
-
Do not reply.
-
Do not send any money.
-
Do not click on links or open attachments.
-
Mark the email as a scam or phishing message, then block the sender.
Even if an email appears to come from someone you know, please phone them using a number you already have before sending money. Do not use a phone number given in the suspicious email.
Scammers may also use other email addresses, so please be careful with any unexpected request for money.
If you have already sent money, contact your bank immediately.
Please also let us know by contacting us.
Thank you for taking care.
