  • Herb Federation of New Zealand Collection
  • Gillian Polson Collection

Books in the Herb Federation Collection (which includes many books gifted by members and member society’s over the years) and the Gillian Polson collection (which was generously gifted to the Herb Federation at the 2007 AGM), may be borrowed from the library by individual members of the Herb Federation of New Zealand, or by members of any Herb Society in New Zealand that is a member (affiliated) of the Herb Federation of New Zealand.

How to borrow books

Books may be borrowed for up to 2 calender months. The librarian may limit the number of books borrowed at any time.

Books may be requested by emailing Heather Craw at Enable JavaScript to view protected content. She will collect the books for you, then inform you of what size pre-paid, self addressed plastic envelope from the Post Office to send.

Plastic envelopes are preferred as sometimes paper ones are not strong enough and tear.

Borrowers must supply their name, address and phone number, the book number, title and author.

Books should be returned by post.

Books in other Collections held at the Avice Hill Library, and books printed prior to 1955 are available for reference only at the Library.
